Hello friends, I am Rakesh, and today I have come with a most informative topic which is none other than  'googling'. In other words, we can say, how to search anything on google in an efficient manner so that we can get accurate results for our search.

In this blog, we will cover some useful tips and tricks for google search which helps you to get appropriate results for your search query. So let's start with Google, we know Google is a top and most powerful search engine of the world and also it acts like as your friend. Every day, millions of people across the world search their questions on Google, no matter what is their field of interests, you always get all related information on the search tasks.

By the way, the search area of Google is humongous, let me give some examples to you for your better understanding. By searching simply keyword 'nearby' you can get the locations of restaurants, coffee shops, hospitals, bus stops, petrol pumps, temples, and many more if you love travelling it makes your journey more comfortable and convincing.

 



Tips for Google search

1. For the websites, if you looking for a related website for your search query, just type...

related:'your query'

For Example-  related:google.com, It will give you a result of all search engines like yahoo, bing etc.
 
Note:- Please don't put the Spacebar between "related:" and "google.com"


2. If you want to search for specific file types like pdf, doc, excel, then add 'filetype' keyword in your query, like...

'your query' filetype: pdf or doc

For Example:- Indian Economy filetype: pdf, It will show only PDF result for your search you can easily download all those just by click on the displayed link.


3. If you want to search your query in title or URL, then use keywords 'intitle', 'allintitle', 'allinurl'  

intitle: "your query"  (for find your query in title of the site.)
alltitle: "your query"  (for finding your query exact same in the site.) 
allinurl: "your query" (for finding your query exact the same in the URL.)

For Example:- intitle: java, It shows you all titles which include java word.


4. If you want to search for something but missing some words then use '*' on the place of the missing word. Sometimes we listen to the song on the radio and want to search on Google, but we don't know all lyrics that times this trick helps to find the song.

For Example:- If you want to search the song Teri mitti mein mil jawa but you forget the word 'mitti' than search Teri * mein mil Jawa, this both give you the same output/result.


5. For the exact searching of the phrase, you can use " " these operators.

 "your query"

For Example:-"knowproinsight", This will show exact results for the word knowproinsight including its website.


6. If you are a school or college student, I know that when you get stuck in any topic generally you try to search its the definition on google. For this, you can use the 'define' keyword which gives you an exact definition for your search. 

define: "your query"

For Example:- define pollution, this shows you the meaning of the word and their definition.

 

7. If you want to search between a particular time internal than use"...", this gives you results from that time interval.

For Example:-If you want to search the 90's movies only, then search "movies 1990...2000" it shows you only those movie which belongs to this time interval.


8. If you want to search multiple phrases in a single search then use 'or'. It searches both phrases at the same time.

"first query" or "second query"

For Example:- job for software engineer or job for coder.


9. Sometimes we read long and massive numbers in news/books and we cant pronoun them, in that case, Google can help you just add =english and google pronounce it for you.

"number"=english

For Example- 1234567891011=english and this will show you "one trillion two hundred thirty-four billion five hundred sixty-seven million eight hundred ninety-one thousand one hundred eleven." It's show results up to 13 digit number.


10. If you want to search a particular image on google than follow these steps,  this shows you the image in all options like small, medium, large.

right-click on image>>>select option search google for image>>>and results on you screen.


Add your self on google search


If you want to create your virtual id on google search then follow these steps, for this, you don't need a desktop or laptop you can create your id using your mobile.


1. Open the Google application in your mobile and search "add me to search", after this you get the interface which shown in the given picture, click on "get started" and if you click on "view example" you see how your virtual id looks after generated.






2. After click on "get started", you get an interface which is shown in the picture given below, click on "okay, got it" and fill all the necessary details.


 
 
After filling all the necessary information, you get your virtual id. Let me show you an example of a virtual id, this example is taken from google view example (we not claim any copyright on this example) this example is only for your better understanding.
